Cosm Secures Exclusive Rights to Broadcast NFL Games, Expands Immersive Sports Experience
NFL fans can now enjoy Thursday, Sunday, and Monday night games in a 360-degree “shared reality” setting at Cosm venues in Los Angeles and Dallas, with Atlanta and more locations coming soon.
Cosm, an innovator in immersive technology, has announced a new partnership with the NFL, allowing the company to broadcast live NFL games in their high-tech venues. This groundbreaking deal includes every Thursday Night Football game from Amazon, Sunday Night Football on NBC, Monday Night Football on ESPN, and select Sunday games broadcasted on Fox.
Founded by Mirasol Capital in 2020, Cosm brings fans into a 360-degree dome equipped with massive 12K LED screens, creating a "shared reality" experience that rivals the excitement of being in a stadium. Each dome seats approximately 700 fans, with ticket prices ranging from $22 to $127, following a dynamic pricing model similar to major live events.
“A Stadium-Like Atmosphere”
“What’s unique about the NFL is its universal fandom,” said Jeb Terry, Cosm's CEO and president. “Fans show up in full force, sporting jerseys, waving Terrible Towels, even bringing cowbells. It’s like they’re right in the stadium.”
Cosm debuted its Los Angeles and Dallas venues earlier this year and has announced plans for a third location in Atlanta, with future locations to be revealed soon. In addition to the NFL, Cosm has agreements with major sports entities, including the NBA, UFC, ESPN, NBC Sports, TNT Sports, Fox Sports, and Amazon Prime Video. The company has been a key player in broadcasting large-scale events, from the Paris Olympics to the ongoing World Series, where tickets for the initial game featuring the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees sold out within minutes.
Beyond Live Sports: Expanding the Cosm Experience
While live sports are the main attraction, Cosm’s programming extends beyond sports to include a diverse range of offerings like a space-themed experience through an astronaut's perspective and a performance by Cirque du Soleil. This lineup fills non-peak hours with entertainment, allowing the venues to operate throughout the day.
With consumers’ viewing habits shifting rapidly, Cosm’s model has gained strong traction. The company is already seeing repeat customers and plans to roll out membership perks and season passes soon.
Following a successful funding round in July, where it raised over $250 million, Cosm is valued at over $1 billion. Key investors include sports luminaries such as former Milwaukee Bucks owner Marc Lasry, Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert, and David Blitzer, co-managing partner of the Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Devils.
As Cosm’s unique shared-reality experience continues to captivate audiences, its vision to revolutionize fan engagement is unfolding—and it’s just getting started.
